I am running Windows 2003 Server SP2. I am trying to configure remote desktop sharing using Netmeeing but the option is grayed out when I click on Tools in Netmeeting. When I checked the Netmeeting RDS service in Services it was disabled. I set it to Automatic and when I try to start I get the following error:

The Netmeeting RDS service on Local Computer start and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, eg, Performance Logs and Alerts service.

I tried re-installing Netmeeting but this did not work.

Can anyone advise how to resolve this issue?

Hi, I'm trying to do the same thing, anyone any ideas?

Cheers

u need to be admin to do so (on my server, netmeeting rdp is also disabled, but the rdp option in netmeeting/tools is not greyed out)
there is a group policy where u can disable netmeeting rdp, is that set/applied?

I think I'll just use RDP console as this does the same thing!
