NetLogON Event ID 5773

Hello all:

I am using Windows 2000 Server SP2

I get the following message:

The DNS Server for this DC does not spport dynamic DNS.
Add the DNS records from the file:
\WINNT\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\NETLOGON.DNS to the DNS Server
serving the domain referenced in that file

My SonicWall router is NAT enabled.

I believe I must add the DNS entry in the TCP/IP properties
NETLOGON.DNS is editable but I do not know what information
gets plugged where

do you have a dns server set up in your network? if so check under the dns mmc to see if you have dynamic updates enabled. If So we need to look else were, if you need an explination on where to go, let me know.

Check the Microsoft Knowledge base article.
It states to fix this error get the latest service pack. I guess they had problems with this and resolved it in the newest service pack. Good luck.
