Netlink E340 factory reset

any one know a way to do a factory default on this model of phone if the admin PW is not known? I have an issue with a box of e340 aka avaya 3616 phones that some yahoo set a admin PW on and no one knows who or to what and I would like to make these all workable again.

Pure guess, but can you unplug them from any phone wires and power and see if after a day or two they will auto-reset? Yes of course they might have a small amount of non-volatile (sp) memory

Well not a bad guess however they sat in boxes for who knows how long with out batteries in them. Thank you though for the suggestion.

One other shot in the dark (by now you must of figured that I really know nothing about these phones <smile>) look for a small reset button, maybe under where the batteries would go, maybe even a small hole where the end of a bent paperclip can be pressed into.

Hope someone who really has a simple answer reads this soon, laugh out loud at my suggestions, and says something like all you have to do is plug it in a press # 3 times, or some such special code. But until then my hair brained ideas are all you are getting.
