I have a small network (5/6 users) connected wirelessly via a Netgear Prosafe wireless access point (Model:WG-302).

Is it be possible to connect the LAN port of the WG-302 to a mobile broadband modem, and give all users internet access out of the modem?

Or do I need to get another router with a WAN port?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

YOu should be right to do that, I have a similar setup here at home. Just make sure you get a link light between you wireless router and your Broadband modem, hopefully there is a switch, but worst case you might need a cross over cable.
The term you used Mobile broadband modem - I assume this means an DSL or ADSL modem which connects to the phone line or vai radio frequency. Either way should be fine.
Be sure to secure your network so other people can not get free internet access or worse compromise you network. WPA is the only way to go.

Regards

Dave
