I just got a netgear ma311 card, 802.11b wireless pci adapter. Any tips or links on how to set it up for an ad hoc network?
I have rh 8.0 installed. Do I need to recompile my kernel? If so with what enabled? Do I need to find specialized drivers somewhere?

Thanks,
Venkman

Thought I would add an update in case someone else was in a similar situation. Found a link on the web explaining steps to get card working:

I still haven't checked them (kept making mistakes while recompiling my kernel... will be able to check to see if it works soon though).

In the meantime I had an extra hard drive and I wanted to check out suse, so I installed suse 8.1 . Suse auto detected the card fine and appears to have configured it without any problem (I don't have another wireless endpoint yet to actually confirm this for sure yet). Of course I can't get sound on my dvd player to work with suse yet, but that's for another post....
