Hi,
I have a Netgear WG111 USB wireless adapter. I bought it for 90$ and thought it is one of the high end products. The problem I am facing is it is not working well in the wireless environment that I have at my place. There are simply too many factors (network config, OS, card itself).
If someone has faced similar issues, please let me know. Some of the weird things I have observed are:
1. When I plugged in the card into my USB port it read ‘High speed device in non-high speed port’. I don’t know what is that.
2. Even with invalid IP (0.0.0.0) or automatic private IP there are many packets received than sent. The ratio is 4:1. It does not stop. It keeps sending and receiving packets.
3. The connection shows flips between validating identity, failed, enabled states erratically. I am sure I have right credentials to access the network and other required privileges.
Any help is appreciated.
