Hi

I'm new to wireless, and pretty new to Windows Server 2003. I've set up a new Netgear WAB102. The first task in the manual, under Basic Configuration, is to type the unique access point name into a browser (I'm using IE version 6). I'm supposed to see the Netgear configuration screen. But I just get the address not found error. So I can't go any further with the configuration.

I know that Windows Server 2003 is shipped with tight security, and I've been opening it up bit by bit as I set up my wired network (which is working fine). I don't know if this has anything to do with it.

Any advice greatly appreciated!

I just setup a WAB102 in my network, there is no issue to configure it through the Browser in Windows 2003 server. If the ip address doesn't work, try use the device name. e.g.
The access point name comes with your box.

Sherry,

Thanks so much for your reply. I've worked a lot more on this and I'm still not getting results. I believe my problem is that the server cannot see the access point at all. I set up a DNS entry for the access point and as far as I can tell the server still cannot see it.

What did you do on your server (with DNS or any other settings) to set up the access point in the first place?
