Any one ever use this type of netgear for ip office 4620 phones?

i got the tunnel build but cant get phone to pull a ip. also i can only get tunnel to build if i disable mode config which i belive is where phone gets ip.

the netgear is a inside firewall. a sonicwall is natting down to it.

that means you have a firewall behind a firewall? that would mean double NAT'ing or do I get that wrong?

Yes I did. Do a search on this forum and you will find your answer.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

If you don't find it, then just set the phone statically with the IP, the TFTP, phone system, etc. and then it will work over the tunnel. Those netgear VPN routers won't do the DHCP options that you need.

Actually, there is a better doc on this, written by none other than Tlpeter. (you forgot? [smile])

Netgear 336G

(The Avaya docs are dead wrong on the SA lifetime, it should be at least 43200 sec)

Kind regards

Gunnar
