Has anybody had experience setting up a VPN connection with this router? I am upgrading from the 318 model and want to know if anyone would recommend or has used this for this type of application. Thanks

I have done these routers a dozen times.
It is very easy to setup and you should follow the manual.
In a nutshell:
Create a user with a password.
Create a group with a password.
Create the virtual IP range.
Set an IP route in the IPO to that virtual IP range.
