netgear fvs318 to fvs318 VPN & AD issues...

I have 2 sites both with Netgear FVS318 firewall routers. I have configured the VPN and it is connected. One side with the DC has a 10mb/1mb dynamic connection, with DDNS setup. The other side has a static 1.5mb/1.5mb connection.

I can ping both sides. I can check out shares on the DC (Win2003, DNS, AD), but when I try to log into the domain with a domain user account, it is SLLLLOOOO

Like 10+ minutes for some of the desktop to load. Sometimes authentication fails at login as well.

I have spoken to Netgear many times and they are stumped. I don't have any ports opened on the firewalls as I am told it is not required when using appliance to appliance.

Sounds like a DNS issue. You should be running DNS on your server and have all ISP DNS put in the forwarders.
