Anybody have any luck with this combination? Need to use the Nortel client (v02.06.33) because of work issues. It works fine with the Nortel switch.
Attempts to connect to the FVS318 produce following in Netgear logs:
Wed, 09/24/2003 23:15:28 - TAGWY01 IPsec:Receive Packet address:0x1807194 from 67.74.169.195
Wed, 09/24/2003 23:15:28 - TAGWY01 IPsec:agg_inI1_outR1()
Wed, 09/24/2003 23:15:28 - TAGWY01 IKE:peer Initialized IKE Aggressive Mode
Wed, 09/24/2003 23:15:28 - TAGWY01 IKE:RX << AM_I1 : 67.74.169.195
Wed, 09/24/2003 23:15:28 - TAGWY01 IPsec:New State index:4, sno:5
Wed, 09/24/2003 23:15:28 - TAGWY01 IPsec:Unacceptable identity type (ID_KEY_ID) in Phase 1 ID Payload
Any suggestions welcomed....

Have you considered a newer client version ?

Yes, ver 4_15.03 has the same exact symptoms and log entries.
Have you any experience with this config?
The nortel client is somewhat limited in that it is only allows Username/Password authentication or Group ID/PW authentication with no other parameters configurable (or at least the copy provided by our corp. It has been that way since the VPN services support was outsourced to IBM). This may be a neutered installation.
If you have any suggestions about this client/switch combination please share them.
Thx

If you can,check the log on the Nortel Contivity box.It sounds like something is not configured on the Contivity box
