netgear fails to assign IP address

anyone know why my netgear WG602 wirless access point would suddenly decide its not going to dole out an IP address to my PC?
i havent changed anything, AP still set to DHCP enable, my WEP settings are fine signal strength is fine... its says im connected to the netwrok but it fails to renew my network identification, my ip address is never assigned.
and thats deffinately set to "automatic" in my TCP/IP config settings for my netgear wireless PCI card.
