Any of you using Linux on a 7000? I have some regular 7000's and a few M10's and am experiencing less than desirable disk throughput on all of them. Sometimes as low as 4MB/s.

I am using raid level 0 with each drive as it's on logical unit. Drives range from 7.2K to 10K RPM's and all provide 9.1 Gigs of storage. NOTE: some of these machines are utilizing a ServeRaid card and some are not. Either way, I still see horrible throughput.

I was hoping to get some insight into why i am experiencing such horrible throughput. I am using hdparm -t to measure this by the way.

What are you all seeing?

Also, when using raid level 0, does it matter if my drives are of different sizes/speeds? Again, I am only using one physical drive per logical array/drive.

Any help you have to offer is GREATLY appreciated.
