I'm in a single server environment and wondering what my Gateway IP should be -it's blank at the moment in TCP/IP properties and running netdiag gives me:

Default gateway test . . . . . . . : Failed

[FATAL] NO GATEWAYS ARE REACHABLE.
You have no connectivity to other network segments
If you configured the IP protocol manually then
you need to add at least one valid gateway.

Do I need an entry here as I don't have a Gateway/Router?

Thanks

Dan

NO you only need a gateway if you are on a routed network, or use a proxy server for internet access.

!!A good cup of Tetley keeps the madness at bay!!

Thanks,

I thought so. I guess I shouldn't be concerned about this netdiag output then.

Thanks

Dan
