We are looking for a reliable fax modem and have to choose between two quotes:
NetComm MyModem V.92 BD3068
MultiTech MT5634ZBA V.92

Any experience with any of the two brands/models, how do they compare?

Multitechs have been excellent modems for us in the past. Not sure about these specific models. They both appear to be external. External serial modems are the best, period. USB are just like every other USB device. Will work great for awhile, then just stop working. Then you have to bust out the disks and reinstall software, etc... I saw some pages listing the Multitech you have there as serial, some say its USB. So whatever you get, get a serial modem, but if the Multitech they have quoted you is USB, see if they can get you the serial one. Never used a NetComm, sorry.
