Netbackup upgrade question

Hello,

We are in the process of building a new netbackup server. We will be upgrading netbackup from 6.5.4 to 7.5 at the same time.

Does the catalog need to be in place prior to the upgrade, or can we upgrade and then restore the catalog?

We will be maintaining the current master server name.

This is a requirement, the master server hostname cannot be changed without consulting services.

When you upgrade, you do not reinstall/ recovery the catalog. Please see the install/ upgrade guides.

We do have a number of archived images.

Ok, go with my advice. If you are unsure, best to log a call with Symantec.
Easier to do this and x2 check, than have to fix things later.
