Hi all,

I don't seem to be able to find a solution to this.

I have Netbackup 6.0MP4 running on Windows Server 2003.

I would like to automate a report which details 2 things.

1. Policy Name
2. Media id

Someone has told me how to do this in Unix but I'm a Windows man!

Any help appreciated.

If you install Cygwin you can probably do it pretty easily with the Unix commands. Another option is to get familiar with PHP and write a PHP script that will do what you need.

If you install Cygwin I can probably give you some assistance.

Hope that helps.

John

How many clients do you have. If it's small, you could just look at the error logs.

bperror.exe -backstat -U -hoursago 24

or

bperror.exe -backstat -by_statcode -U -hoursago 24

You can re-direct the output from these to a file or an email.

If you do get a Linux platform with Netbackup installed on it, I have some cool scripts I could probably pass along to you.
