I am having problems getting more than 6 tapes checked into the library via the I/O slot. The tapes can be moved manually into the library and then checked into the library as volumes to be accessed. The problem seems to be getting more than 6 tapes from the IO slot. Any Ideas !

Netbackup Datacentre 3.4 on IBM 3583 LTO Library

Hi
No personal experience with IBM 3583 LTO library but the the syptoms shows that drive is not fully configured. First check the latest patch level from both vendors , From IBM as well as from Veritas for your library. Which operating System u r using ???? Also check any latest patches available from your OS suppliar.
If your library is attached with the media server , seperate machine from master server , then make sure that patch level on both media server and master server are same.
IN the end , if the issue is really bothering you then u can try by unloadingthe sg driver and install the latest one fom veritas.
