I need to migrate a huge amount of netbackup classes from one server to another. (3.4 to 4.5, change of hardware, host name, library, the lot).
Both are running solaris.

I'm looking possibly for a script that will look through the
configuration and spew out commands required to create the
pools, classes, schedules, etc....

Has anyone got one of these that they might be willing to
share? Or is there another option of migrating the existing
classes?

Thanks a lot.
Eric

Simple - Just copy over the directory /NetBackup/db/class from one server to another. That is what I did when I changed master server names and versions from 3.4 to 4.5. This directory contains all the policy/class information.
