NetBackup 6.5.1 SAN backup

Hi,

I have a SAN device that is not on fibre that I am trying to get backed up, NetBackup 6.5.1 is unable to connect to the device when I try to setup NDMP credentials for it. I have another SAN device that is on SAN and have no problems connecting to it and backing that up. How can I get this device backed up to tape?

You need an account on the storage device that does not use root's account but has root's priviledges. I setup an account nbadmin on mine and use a separate password from root's, so that when we force a change in root password routinely, backups aren't inadvertently broken. It sounds to me like you have incorrect account name and or password and he's being denied access. What's the status code when it fails?
