Netbackup 5 Enterprise not backing up SQL

Trialing a copy of Netbackup 5 Enterprise working fine f or regular data backups, except when i try to backup SQL server i can drill down to server then get pop up "unable to connect to backup host" anyone come across this?

Have you created the SQL scripts under the name of the user that will be kicking off the backups? There is a very specific set of instructions that have to be followed when doing SQL backups.

Yes we have followed the instructions to the letter from the manual, also applied the service fix for netbackup 5 still not having any luck :-(
