Netbackup 3.4.1 and freezing of service database

Hi,

I am more on the Exchange 2000 side than Netbackup but here goes the question:

I have noticed that our services database freeze up after a reboot of our server. In other words, I cannot stop or start any services using the Services MMC. However, when I stop the Netbackup services like client, volume manager, device manager, then the services database unlocks so that I can stop and start other services. Has anyone experienced this problem before? If so, how did you deal with it. Thanks.

Windows 2000 server OS with sp2 and Exchange 2000 sp3.
Exchange server acts as a media server.
Nebackup client and server has version 3.4.1 with NB_341_3.
