I'm using NB4.5 on Solaris and I'm attempting to work out which tapes have expired. I am using the following command:-

bpmedialist -mlist

The output from this list is fine apart from the fact that it does not display tapes that have expired already. Is there any way to do this????

One way to see what tapes have expired is by running /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/goodies/available_media command this will show you what tapes are available for re-use

You can get information on all media via
/usr/openv/volmgr/bin/vmquery -a

Check the time assigned. If it isn't assigned then the data on the tape has been expired in the NetBackup database and the tape is available for reuse.

You may want to either dump the output to a file or write a script to manipulate the output.
