Ok here's the deal. I have a Win2K server running NetBackup 3.4.1. This server backs up all my other server, so this is the master netbackup server. On of the servers that it backs up is a Network Appliance F85, which is running CIFs (allows Windows system to access via shares). I backup the data on this server using UNC \\servername\share$. My master backup server is the client for the backup schedule for this server. When I go to my backup server and try to restore data to the NetApp server. I can't see the backups and when I try to do a "proxy" restore, it tells me it can't establish a pipe connection. I know for a fact that the data is being backed up because the number of files in the monitor is exactly the same as in the share it is backing up. My Question how can I access the data on the tapes.
