net use commands

i want to connect a drive (X for example) to my server (SunSparc with a solaris 2.5) with the net use command as following :

net use X: \\server\directory

but the next message appears :

system error 53
this path does not exists

I don't know much about solaris, but the net use command only works with network shares, as in:

net use x: \\server\share

if you want access to a specific directory, you will have to create a share for it on the server.

you need software to support NT style shares. Samba does.
