problem:
my project was programmed with microsoft visual .net. so how can i make this project work on win98?

To install Visual Studio .NET, you'll need to upgrade the OS to at least Windows 2000.

To execute an already compiled .NET program, you'll need to install the .NET Framework on the PC. I have not tried to do this on a '98 though.

Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 Redistributable Package:
Supported Operating Systems: Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows XP

Despite Windows 98 being a supported platform, there are a number of calls & classes that aren't supported, such as much of the Process class.

IMO, running .net applications or targeting a .net app to run on Win98 would be a mistake for the following reasons:
1) Poor Unicode support
2) Poor process separation
3) Win98's remaining life is very short

Install the .Net redistributable and try running the app. I've just got rid of my old Win 98 box but I successfully (and slowly) ran .Net apps on it.

As Dimandja says though, you won't be able to develop the app on Win98.
