.Net Framework error when upgrading VM from 3.0.15 to 4.1.27

I ran into a issue when upgrading VM from 3.0.15 to 4.1.27

After I removed old VM pro and installed new VM pro when I click on icon to open VM pro it would say trying to connect to server then I would get a .net framework error.

Anyone run into this for upgrades.. I have not had this issue with new installs and I assume it has something to do with old netFramework version 1.1 and new software trying to install netframework 2.0

Do I need to uninstall old Framwork 1st?

I seem to remember that .net framework 1.0 needs to be uninstalled otherwise you run into problems, see if that is on it.

try re-installing 2.0

If I don't remember it wrong the VM software still uses .NET v1.1 when compiling.
