nested loops

I am trying to get a total of each statusType for each agent..

example of data:


agent statusType
Kelly New
Tom No Info
Kelly Active
Kelly New
Kelly Exhausted
Mary Sold
Mary New


I would like something similar to this:
Kelly:
New 2
Active 1
Exhausted 1
........

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

SELECT Agent, StatusType, count(StatusType) as [Cnt]
FROM dbo.AgentData
GROUP BY Agent, StatusType

I was trying nested loops and other interesting or not ideas. Much cleaner!
