nested dts packages problem

i keep getting dts package failed messages.
here's the case - i have many tasks in a package, two of them are nested packages that contain olap processing tasks.
it seeems that they do their work but at the end the main package fails, before going to the step after the nested olap packages.
the packages are configured to run on the main package thread.

ms sql 2000 / as 2000 / win2ksp
all in latest service packs

please advice
