nersheild wont install

hi. i have just built a fresh nt4 box. the only other thing other than nt which is on it is sp6a. i try to install netsheilt and it gets past the info of which account ot use to log in as and then when it starts copying files it says it has been interupted and cannot continue.

any advice greatly accepted

Are you installing it from a CD-ROM? Try copying the installer files to a local directory then run the installer. Also, remove all the _ISTMPx.DIR directories in the TEMP folder. These are the aborted install files.

the cd is stored locally and i am running the instalation from there. i have requested for someone to look though the racks of cd's and dat tapes we have for the origional disk as the directory that it is in must have had thousands of instalations pulled from it, i though maybe a file was corrupted in there or something.

Hi

Try to install it from c:\temp. Hard to believe but it has acctually helped me once when having a problem with Netshield. It was the consultant from NAI who recommended it.

i ran it from the cd and it went fine!, strange, anyway thanks for the advice everyone
