I intend to burn some DVDs with data using Nero 7 Smartstart, and have a TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-203N SCSI cdrom device. How do I determine which DVD format (either - or +) to use? My OS is Vista. Also, are there any DVDs which hold more than 4.7Gb?

the drive supports + and - dvd-r / dvd-rw and als dvd+r double layer media

Double layer hold more, but depending on media quality tend to be a lot less reliable and cost more, so I stick with DVD+R and burn more disks.

Very frustrating getting to the 3rd disk and having it fail and have to start over.
