I had a lot of trouble with Nero5.5.8 writing the lead in/ lead out when burning CDs. I have a gigabyte 7N400 pro MB with 2 WD 80GB IDE HDDs in a striped array(which is viewed as a SCSI drive in the bios). Ahead, and gigabyte were no help, but when reviewing the error report I noticed that Nero wasn't able to use the RAID (SCSI) array as a buffer. I installed a small IDE HDD as master on IDE 1 with the burner as a slave and set the drive as a buffer for Nero. It worked well. Thanks for nothing, Ahead and gigabyte.
