I'm using Nero Express to burn JPEG's onto CD, or at least trying. When it finishes the files show up as .DAT files on the CD. I import the pictures as JPEG's and the NERO shows them as JPEG, but when I start the burn process it does not give a choice of file type to burn. I haven't been able to open them with any imaging program. All I want to do is put them onto CD as JPEG, but this seems to have it's own ideas. I've used the DATA and the CD,DVD, Picture setting in the Nero, but both do the same thing. The CD ends up with several files which seem useless. Looks like it thinks it's doing a DVD. I'm new to this CD burning and need someone familiar with the Nero. What am I missing on the program that it keeps creating DAT files? Thanks, Camper

Run Nero Wizard, select "Data CD".
Drag and drop your files from the right hand pane to the left hand one.
Should simply burn them.

Cheers,
Jim

OK it worked with the data tab selected. You'd think selecting the picture tab would work to burn pictures wouldn't you?
Thanks Comtech
