Hi,
I have a few questions regarding a thin client environment using the following:
- The clients are Neoware C50 with NeoLinux installed.
- The servers are Windows 2000 with SP4 and Citrix MetaFrame XPa FR2 SP2.
When the Neoware clients are booted a W2K SP4 window is automatically displayed.
It is important that the thin clients only have access to applications on the servers which they need to access. Other applications used by other thin clients should not be accessible.
Questions:
1. Most importantly, how are access control usually managed in this environment? Does NeoLinux have built-in access control?
2. Can Citrix "Secure Gateway" or "Access Gateway" be used for access control in this environment?
3. If the company I work for would setup a test environment, are there anything we should think about. Is it a straightforward installation?
I am grateful for all answers to my questions. I am a newbie regarding Citrix.
Best
