sometime yesterday I visited a site, and now I have neoplanet stuff in my IE browser that I can't get rid of

in the top right corner, and the bottom right corner of my IE browser, i have little rockets with advertisements, the top one disappears and comes back with different advertisements, the bottom one stays put, and links to the neoplanet site.

not being a browser expert, how can i destroy this little invasions ??

This seems to work like try this, go to start->control panel->add/remove programs-> and see if NeoPlanet is listed there and try to remove it. Simply highlight it and click remove at the bottom....

If that does not work try this, move the mouse over the print icon, right click, this should bring up a dialog box, there should be standard buttons, address bar, with an check by them. You should also see two entries for Radio etc.. Simply unclikc these toolbars until the neoplanet is removed..... the first may to do this should be the best though........

nup, neither of those got close.....
the message at the top of the browser is just to the left of the minimize / restore / close buttons, not actually on the toolbar area.

apparently I had installed freeware that is related to the site and as a result, I had these little rocket things on my browser. all I had to do was to uninstall the software, and the rockets went away.
