Original issue was that Shop Floor reported production of a serialized item with a serial number that had already been used. The user backed out the serial number by entering a negative production and selected the incorrect serial number then they reported the correct serial number.
Issue:
The system removed the inventory from the bin location but it did not remove the serial number from the serial lot master and when you look at inventory it shows the serialized item with zero inventory on the bin. We are now unable to create a credit memo for the return of the original serial number.
Question:
I looked at the records in the IMLSMST table and wanted to know if items with 0 inventory on hand should exist in this table? There are other items that have shipped that are not showing in this table. We also have other items in the table that have 0 inventory on them. If we delete the records with 0 inventory will this take care of our problem and allow us to return the original serial number through a credit memo?
