For a task that has only one resource with no duration. No work hours have been scheduled and no actuals have been logged but for some reason there are negative costs entered for three months. At the summary level for the task, the negative costs are showing up, but at the task level where the resource is the cost is showing up as 0. I do not have a clue how the costs got to the summary level and have no idea how to take it out. Please help!

Here's how it can happen:

Create two tasks t1, t2
Display the cost field
T1 - set the Cost to negative $100
T2 - set the Cost to positive $25
Click on task T2
Click on the Indent button

Oh, forgot to add how to fix it.

"Undent" tasks below the summary task in question until the summary task becomes a detail task. Edit the costs in the task that was previously a summary task. Re-indent the "undented" tasks until you have the task structure that you had before.

Ah ... just noticed that you're also in a Project Server environment. I'm not. Try the above and it *should* work but there are no guarantees.
