I have a problem when i use a omni directional antenna 12 db provided by trendnet to trassmit and a acces point alsou trendnet,to receive signal.I have make all the configuration, put the same chanel, the same name, everything ok n this point but i have interfernces from another antenna useed by another. He use a differnet chanel(6) and i'm using the chanel (1) but maybe we have the same antennas.I try to move a the possition of antenna but the same thing:this is that i see when i try to connect.

SSID BSSID C hannel Type Encrypt Signal newnet1 00:0e:8e:7a:53:d5 1 AP yes 1 (my antena)
vrana1234 00:02:2d:bc:e1:ba 6 AP no 1 (other antenna)

I have many time out when i ping from the Access point(client) to omni and many disconections of signal.I cant work.

Please someone help me to resolve this problem.
Thanks to all.

First of all get your PC right up close to your AP where signal strength and quality should be 100 percent, and make sure you can connect ok.

Assuming connection at close range is ok, move equipment back to previous location. Now try using Channel 11. Although this is the same distance away frequency-wise as your present channel (1) from the interfering signal (6), there may be sufficient signal from your AP to get through ok.

How about using a directional antenna? Position your antenna to point away from the interfering source. Not only will this reduce the unwanted interference but it will boost the signal your PC receives from your AP.

If the person using Channel 6 is very close by, using gain antennas or even amplifiers, and you cannot get your AP signal to override it, then consider changing to 802.11A on 5.7GHz.

Thank's first for your reply.
I have make all the things that you said. I have taked the laptop close to the AP. I have try also changing the channel but is the same situation. The signal goes down every 10 min and the AP try to cnnect to the other person that uses channel 6
I will try today to change the possition of antena, 30 m to the right. I hope this thing will work.
Did you have a program to test the quality of the signal?
