Hi Guys,

I'm needing a calculation formula for compound interest on an investment. I need the future value of a 10,000 investment with an interest rate of 10% compounded quarterly.

So here are my fields: rate
investment
compounded (this will always be quarterly or 4 times per year)
issue date
maturity date

So I need to know what that 10,000 investment will be worth at its maturity date.

Oh sorry I'm using Crystal Reports R2 and SQL database.

I hope I've put enough info in here.

Thanks for the help

I've never used them myself, but there are a variety of financial functions in the formula editor. If you use search in CR Help with keywords "compound interest", a number of functions are displayed, including Nominal(), Effect(), etc.

Thanks lbass,

I'll look into those functions again.
