NeedHelp with KX-TVA50 Advanced Hybrid System Setting Company Greeting

Good day,
Let me first start by saying, I have no prior experience with these types of systems. Even so, I have been assigned the task of setting up the KX-TVA50 greeting and voicemail system for my employer (Lucky me!). The user/manager/programming/installation manuals are clearly not written for the layman, and I'm lost.
I'm trying to set up a company greeting during which a caller can dial an extension and at the end of the company greeting will direct to the company phone line which will then go to voicemail after 5 or six rings.
Yes, it's that simple, and I can't figure it out for the life of me.
Can anyone either help walk me through the process (considering I'm an untrained baboon) or point me in the right direction to a more suitable forum or technical help area where I can get this horrible, horrible nightmare behind me?

Under port/trunk service/call service/day mode set day mode to company greeting 1. incoming call service set to custom service 1.

then under service setting/ custom service tab on the bottom of page. click on menu and transfer, then click on white and yellow part of page, this will give you a custom service box, open this and fill in the option 0-9 as ext/group on the system.
Record custom service prompt as thanks for calling company x, and record system service 1 as dial 1 for .... etc.

as for ringing 5 times and going to voicemail, the system will handle that, but you don't mention what one you have..

We're using a Panasonic PBX KX-TA824 connected to the KX-TVA50.

Now the Company greeting is working, but afterwards the automatic attendant kicks on for 20 seconds "please enter your party's extension, to enter by name, press the pound sign and one." Do you know how to disable that?

if the options are working i.e. 1 to ext 101 2 => 102 etc then yust do a call forward to vm on busy/no-answer. make sure each extension has a mailbox set up. are you connected to the ta as APT port or inband?
