Hello all
I just started working for a new company.we Have an option 61c connected via Tie trunk T1 to another swith overseas. We have moved to another building with a new option 81c.For the purpuse of moving we kept the option 61c connected to overseas switch. Now we are trying to move the T1 To our new loaction with option 81c and retiring the option 61c.What is the best route to do the move since I dont want to change the 4 digit dianlg plan overseas.I am Somehow comfortable with programing T1 but not 100 percent. Can I migrate the data to the new switch assuming no conflict bettween the 2 switches. What to look for. How easy it is?. any input will help me out a whole lot.
Thanks for your help

You will need to work with the telco provider that you pay monthly payments to for the T1. Since you are in another building, they may not be able to just swing it over but may have to be re-engineered.

As far as the programming - you will need to re-program the T1 and your dialing plan (at least what is not aleady in place)

Steps are:
1 - LD 73 - define DDB
2 - LD 17 - Add PRI - CEQU
3 - LD 17 - ADD DCH - ADAN
4 - LD 15 - Enable ISDN - Net_Data
5 - LD 16 - Define route
6 - LD 14 - Define trunks
7 - LD 73 - Define Clock Sync - DDB
8 - LD 86 - Define RLI
9 - LD 87 - Define CDP - DSC

You can print this same info from the 61 and make it the same on the 81. The only things that might be different are the loop number and dch number used

Hope that helps

if you are being serviced by the same Central office, it's a no brainer. We did this with multiple T1's. As reusser stated, check with the provider.

Get a new local loop set up and they can move the long-haul side in the CO in about 5 mins. Easy to set up....
