Need your help _ All volumes have disappeared. why?

Hi everyone,

We are running netware 4.11 and while copying a simple access database to the server, the entire server has gone offline and when I reboot the server, there seems to be no volums to mount.

Loding install, simply indicates that there are no netware partitions.

Any idea, why this would have happened?

Are your drivers loading for the HDDs? Do you see the HDDs in Install? I don't know what, if any, relationship there is from your copying to the server.

Can you manually mount any volume?
'mount sys' from the colon prompt?
Is the statement 'mount all' still in your autoexec.ncf?
any chance you are starting your server with 'autoexec -na -ns' which says not to use your autoexec.ncf and your startup.ncf

Your disk drivers are typically loaded in startup.ncf

My guess might be a hardware problem, though. you've probably already figured that out.

I would recommend that you check the amount of free disk space. The only reason a volume would ever dismount is if it were running low on space. You may also want to specify which volumes you arelosing? If sys goes offline due to no space, then all the other volumes would go offline as well as no sys= no system to run etc.

You may want to provide additional info ie which service pack is installed on the server, type of drive configuration ie RAID 5 stripped on x number of drives with y amount of space etc. RAM is another important item...
