Greeting everybody,

I am currently using a very old Operating System ( SCO Unix System V-Release 3.2.4.2 ) for unlimited number of users. In fact the total concurrent users i have during peak hours goes up to 125 users. We use Pegasus Senior as Enterprise Software.

Till now i have been able to maintain the system, ( with the help of tek-tips members especially). However, due to support problems i need to upgrade the system. Could anybody help me in choosing something less expensive and MUCH reliable at the same time.

What is the latest version of SCO Open Server ?

Looking forward for your comments and suggestions,

Thank you & kind regards.
Salim

Latest is 5.0.6.
If you are having support problems at 4.2 I suspect you will find some of the same problems at 5.0 although the hardware problems of 4.2 are pretty much resolved presently.
As far as expense, perhaps e-bay would be a solutions since there seems to be a good number of server packages available.
You may want to see if you need a software upgrade to go with an OS upgrade. That is a problem I've run up against several times. And then there are the data migration problems. Ed Fair
