Need XP audio driver for Gateway MT6821

Hi,
I de-vista a Gateway MT6821 notebook. Now I have XP Pro x86 SP3. And I`m stick with audio driver problem ...
I google it for days ... and nothing good ...
I supose I need Sigmatel Audio Driver 9250, but i don`t find a corect file. In Device Manager show an explanation point.
I updated my sistem at Microsoft Update, I have the latest patch, but nothing fot audio driver ...

Please help me, somebody, before i going crazy :D

Hey, the "original de-Vistafying thread" still lives! I would be more than glad to share my knowledge in solving this. I started that post and had it solved within a few days, then the post took on a life of its own! Unfortunately, some of the links don't work anymore, but can be wrangled out by trial & error.

For audio, go to:


...and in the right-hand search box, type "Sigmatel". You will be presented with a list of drivers, mostly for Vista, but some for XP. Hunt and peck for something that works. This one is close

But you need to remember this notebook was designed to run VISTA ONLY so don't expect to find your exact driver for the exact model listed...it's a lot of experimentation.
