I am using VB6 (Enterprise Edition)with the MSDN help files but am not satisfied with how the help files are displayed. When I go into HELP I get the HELP for all the Microsoft application programs not just VB6.
I want to change this so I only get help for VB6.

1) Where can I find the files for the VB6 help (not necessarily MSDN) ?
2) How do I install them so they are accessible?

When you open Help and select Index, in the upper-left section of the screen there is a drop-down titled Active Subset. Select the set of help files you want displayed from this drop-down. All other sections will still be listed but will be grayed out (inactive).

Just below the toolbar in your disk-based MSDN is a dropdown called Active Subset - you can select VB there.

I realize that you can do a subset so only VB6 is available however the index will still show all the items with the vb items highlighted. This makes the index much larger than it needs to be plus when you do a search it finds the highlighted and non highlighted items.

I want a HELP that is only VB. Is there not one on the VB installation CD?
