Hello,

I've installed a Partner ACS R.7 system for a doctor, in town, with a 4-port Partner Messaging module.

I understand that there are 4 different Automated Attendants (AA's) to choose from, but I'm a bit fuzzy on how to switch between them. Here's what I need.

The good Dr. wants one night AA message/menu to play when he is on-call, and a different AA message/menu to play when he is out of town.

By default, I know that my incoming lines are covered by AA#1, but is there a way for the receptionist to switch back and forth between Automated Attendants, depending on the doctor's on-call status?

Thank you so much for your help!

you would have to assign and unassign the lines to each at AA manually. AA1 would unassign the lines then assign them to AA2. Then go back and change it when needed. All of this would be done in the voice mail under AA, line assignments.

Hi recondaddy,
They can use the holiday override. If he is using line ownership he only has to make one of the six greetings active (switch betwen a couple). Either way is easy.

Thanks guys!

I was hoping it would be as simple as programming a couple of buttons on the phone and pressing the one that says "on-call" or the other that says "out-of-town".

No free rides, I guess.

Actually, it is really simple. Just use the GUI admin program and click the days for override, may have to fill in the times. This works up to a week in advance. Heck, you may even be able to assign the lines to a different attendant. That would be easy too.

How involved are the different AA greetings? You could add a DXD card for one mode, the Auto Attendant in "Night Mode Only" from the ACS with the business schedule to determine whether Day or Night message answers. Only drawback is the length of the DXD greeting. But then you could have two buttons to toggle modes.
