Need tuning advise on AIX

I am an AIX administrator in need of tuning advice.
I have SAS v8 installed on a 2 (1.45 GB) processor AIX platform with 4 GB of memory, 32Gb local storage, and 50 GB of SAN storage. AIX 5.2, 64 bit.
My users are expecting lightning fast performance.
I am seeing a single CPU pegged at 100% utilization for extended periods duration the execution of their jobs.

Can you share any tuning parameters that you use in your environment that may improve this performance?
