Does anyone have an example of a script which captures
data sent to a serial or parallel port? I need to capture data normally sent to a printer to a file and then to process the file.

thanks in advance

I couldn't find a thing in the Aspect help file about capturing a printer stream. For a Telnet session I was in recently I created a Generic Text printer on Windows 2000, configured it to print to file in text format. Then I ran the report to the slave printer. This worked fairly well for a large report (> 6 megs) but the last portion of the report is garbage, presumably from a control character in the stream.

Hope this work around helps.
