Have E2K with 2 domains.
Am receiving mail on both sucessfully.
Have setup the Recipient Policy so users are allocated mail addresses for both domains ie. fred@abc.com and fred@def.com.

My problem is I want replies to be sent from the email address the message was received on.

To complicate matters fred has a second alias/mailbox ie sales@abc.com which he also needs to be able to reply to using the address the message was sent to.

Will NOT work like that.
If you want to be able to use both SMTP addresses for sending, you MUST split the mailboxes.
Exchange will ALWAYS send with the PRIMARY address.
There are tools and add-ons to change that available out there, but that comes at a price of course.

If 'something' 'somewhere' gives 'some' error, expect random guesses or no replies at all.
