Our telecom vendor is having a problem making international calls. They recommended for us to use a 10 10 number, but our system seems programmed such that we cannot enter these numbers.

I seem to remember that there is a key sequence to bypass the legend and get to an outside line directly. Does anyone know what this is, or if it will help ?

Thanks,
bill

What kind of lines do you have? Analog Loop Start lines? If so, just unplug one of the Legend/Magix ports and plug a regular phone into the line jack. Then you can assure your vendor that it's not the Legend/Magix that's messing with the calls.

If you know what pool the lines are in, assign that pool dial out code to an extension. Then on a System Access button, you dial the pool code instead of 9, that gives you dial tone from one of the lines in the pool, then try your call.

intercom *03(systempassword) then line # 01, 02,....

We don't have analog lines, just a line from the CSU into a T1 card.

I'll give a try to assigning a dial out code to the pool. Will that impact anything else ?

Also, I'd like to try the suggestion from 1043.I don't understand you mean by intercom .....

Since you just have one group of lines, there is a high likelyhood that your lines are in pool 70, although with WinSPM's print function, you can confirm this. Assigning a dial out code to pool 70 will not affect anything, but will simply bypass ARS (Automatic Route Selection).

Also, intercom means the same as SysAccess. If you press SysAccess, and dial an intercom number, you are able to intercom (call internally) to another extension.

You won't be able to use the trunk access test code on T1 channels. Yes you can access them, and check for "dial-tone", but you wont be able to dial out on them. So the pool dial out code is the way to go. Or you could assign a pool button to the phone instead of the dial out code. If you are restricting phones by using the ARS FRL's, the pool access will bypass that. So if that is an issue, you can use the pool dial out code to resolve the problems, and remove them when you are done.
